Top 5 Winter Office Fragrances

3 minute read

And yes, these are perfect when working from home!

With the UK going in to second lockdown, I feel that men need the correct fragrance to bolster their mood during this difficult time. Many of us will be working from home this winter and there are just specific ‘professional’ scents that have that density and depth, that make them perfect for cold weather office environments!

5 . Penhaligon’s Sartorial

One of the most underrated barbershop scents out there, you will get 8 hours longevity and a soft projection with this beauty.

You have honey, spices, beeswax and metallic notes in here to create a very clean, almost ‘freshly-pressed ironing’ type of vibe here, one of those scents that you can’t get enough of on your skin!

4 . Acqua di Parma Colonia Sandalo

A thick sandalwood fragrance. The Colonia line in general has a barbershop backbone with citrus and lavender. But this has a density to it from the sandalwood that just leaves you in a state of pure bliss.

It permeates so nicely around you in a perfect sillage. You will feel a bit ‘old school’ with this, but the sandalwood and amber combo modernises this enough. Killer performance too of 12 hours!

3 . Prada Amber Pour Homme

Prada L’Homme’s forgotten but superior brother! This beautiful purple bar of soap still has the iconic Prada ‘powdery’ vibe but focuses more on creamy spices in here such as saffron and cardamom.

Still, this is extremely clean with an elegant neroli and musk note! Also, expect great performance of 8-10 hours with a soft sillage, perfect for the office environment!

2 . Dior Homme Parfum

You need to enjoy iris and leather for this one! This isn’t as ‘safe’ as Dior Homme Intense. With a solid Sandalwood backbone as well, I feel that this permeates masculinity! Requirements for Dior Homme Parfum; confidence, conscientiousness, prestige and a sharp sense of style.

Bruce Wayne in the opening, slowly morphing in to the Caped Crusader on the dry down…Oh, and expect stellar performance with this one too!

1 . Dunhill Icon

For roughly £35 ($40), you’re getting excellent presentation and an excellent blend! The performance could be better, you’ll get 6 hours here with a soft projection but the scent is worth it! The opening is magical with a sweet citrus and neroli combo that pulls in a lot of compliments and makes you feel pumped for the day!

As Icon dries down, the masculine facets come out to play with a lot of punch in the black pepper and an early, rugged Vetiver. This is the strongest from the Icon line in my opinion!

Conclusion

To conclude, don’t neglect smelling ‘professional’ even if you are working from home! Even if you’re doing projects for yourself that you are not getting paid for, I strongly believe that the correct scent can instantly make you feel more ‘productive’ just as much as putting on a sharp suit does!

Thank you for reading, do you have any more suggestions for what you’ll be wearing this season in the ‘office’? Also, what would you want to see done differently on this blog, any feedback below would be greatly appreciated!

Signing out,

Omar
