Three Long Lasting Perfumes at each Price Range

3 minute read

The Three Musketeers of excellent longevity…

Longevity of fragrances can be a hot topic, no one wants to feel they are not getting their money’s worth!

The thing about scent profiles is that certain ones are going to have ‘smaller’ molecules in them to give a more ‘natural’ smell or a ‘feeling’ of being in the Bahamas…

However, this blog is not for those fragrances! Some guys want something long-lasting, strong and to get good bang for their buck! In my opinion, these three tick all these boxes, but consider suggesting more in the comments below!

1 - Joop! Homme - £25 ($32)

Pink and Iconic.

Pink and Iconic.

Scent: This pink juice is a monster! I describe it as a ‘fruity’ powdery syrup, but what I’m getting at is that this is exceptionally sweet! The main notes I'm getting are cinnamon, cardamom and vanilla/Tonka Bean.

This is definitely spicy and ‘out there’ as a men’s fragrance.

Performance: I get up to 18 hours with this, hence why it had to be on this blog! Careful with this stuff, 2 sprays and the room is filled!

Occasions: I struggle to see this as any thing other than a partying scent! With clubs closed, you can potentially use this in outdoor environments where Joop! has ‘space’ to spread out with its monstrous projection.

Regardless, I recommend only cold weather for this one.

Pros: High value for money when considering performance and that some people love this scent, it is a top seller since the 80s for a reason!

Cons: This is super loud and synthetic, meaning, if you don’t enjoy this, you will find it annoying! Make sure you wear it or Joop! will wear you…(I don’t know what this means, but it sounds cool!)

2 - Moschino Toy Boy - £53 ($68)

Title says it all…

Scent: This funny looking teddy has one of the most creative scent profiles out there! The main notes I’m getting are rose, pear, pink pepper and cashmeran. This is floral, fruity, musky, and, comes with a punch.

If this sounds strange for a men’s scent to you, that’s because it is. However, it is one of the best and most creative things to come out of perfumery in recent times!

Performance: Longevity is an impressive 12 hours and this loud as well (maybe 4 feet upwards)!

Occasions: This is surprisingly versatile! Fresh enough for day to day activities, including some work environments (easy on the trigger!), but also sweet and spicy enough for dating and clubbing environments.

This makes this excellent value for money if you enjoy this!

Pros: All of the above, creativity, performance, versatility, what’s not to love?!

Cons: This is different to other men’s fragrances. you need to have a certain ‘open-mindedness’ to appreciate this, I think most people will enjoy it but it may not suit your style!

3 - Parfums de Marly Layton - £187 ($242)

The first Parfums de Marly anyone should own?

Scent: This smells luxurious. I describe this as ‘powdery’ fresh apple pie! What that means is that you will get prominent notes of apple, cardamom, lavender and vanilla.

This will make you smell rich but, more importantly, this will make you smell delicious.

Performance: You get your money’s worth in the performance department, with 12-14 hours longevity and a ‘moderate’ amount of projection. This is the kind of performance for a signature scent!

Occasions: Signature material right here, especially if you have money! As mentioned, this is balanced between fresh and sweet!

This might not be the best Parfums de Marly release, but it is definitely the safest!

Pros: The magical trio; Compliments, versatility and performance!

Cons: How much it costs - but, I feel it lives up to the price tag!

To Wrap Up

There you have it guys, these are not the longest lasting fragrances but these are my top picks in each price range! If you want other beastly scents consider Yves Saint Laurent’s Kouros or Amouage’s Interlude Man (a monster).

I would love to see your input guys, which three long lasting fragrances would you pick in each price category (low, mid, high).

Oh, and Happy Halloween!
